Artist's Description
His name is Al Brown. The dog, I don't remember. It was 1995. My daughter and I were riding a roundup with Al as part of an All Round Ranch program. Al was a cowboy ... reminded me of Pecos Bill. And he had such a soft spot for this dog. One hot afternoon, with the dog clearly tired, Al got down off his horse, took off his black cowboy hat, and began squirting water into the crease of his hat for the dog to drink out of. It was such a gentle and loving moment ... one I've never forgotten. The oil pastel pencil and watercolor is called, "My Best Friend". My iPad art is painted and drawn using Procreate.
