Artist's Description
Big City Mountaineers is a non-profit organization that transforms the lives of under-served urban youth through wilderness mentoring expeditions. I served as the president of the board for several years and a member of the board for many more. It changes lives. This painting is my interpretation of a summit day, taken from a photo provided by Big City Mountaineers and taken by photographer Wes Allen, showing a young lad, reveling in a sunrise from a mountain top. His life is before him and he is, perhaps for the first time in his life, seeing the possibilities ahead. Proceeds from the sale of this artwork go to benefit Big City Mountaineers. The ink and watercolor is called, Imagine. My iPad art is painted and drawn using Procreate.
About Michael Hodgson
As a traveler, adventurer, award-winning photographer, and artist I have long enjoyed capturing images from around the world with my Sony camera and on my sketchpad (now an iPad). My art and photography captures scenes from my travels around the world, travels shared with my wife (and award-winning photographer), Therese Iknoian.
